Medicare Savings Programs: Good News for Many Medicare and ConnPACE Enrollees

The State of Connecticut offers financial assistance to eligible Medicare enrollees through our 'Medicare Savings Programs.' These programs may help pay Medicare Part B premiums, deductibles and co-insurance. More people are eligible now than ever before, as a result of a change in state law. Specifically, the state has raised the income-eligibility limits and eliminated the asset reporting requirement.

If you qualify for one of the three Medicare Savings Programs (depending on your income), DSS will pay your Medicare Part B premium each month. In addition, some enrollees will be covered for Medicare deductibles and co-insurance.

We encourage you to check out the information on the Medicare Savings Programs at the Department of Social Services (DSS) website.
